Very first time traveller?
Try out Phuket (for the beach locations), Bangkok (for the town lifestyle) and Chiang Mai. This will give you a feel of Thailand.

But i do recomence Krabi Province.
Visit if you available, You will never forget ^_^
Phuket is a tourist trap. Bangkok a big city. Try Chaing Mi or cities in Northern Thailand if you want to feel like your in Thailand.
