Question by : Reasonably priced transfers from Airport to Bangkok to Hua Hin to Airport?
My goodness – its such a pain planning a holiday in 5 countries. Can anyone help me to find taxi operators or transfers for our upcoming holiday in Thailand? I have submitted a few enquiries but a) I dont know which ones to trust and b) there doesn’t seem to be all that much I can do from Aus. Travel plans are BKK airport to Lebua Hotel to Hua Hin to BKK airport. HELP PLS?
Ok for clarification – just because i’m staying at Lebua or AKA it does not mean I’m part of the rich and famous…I got some great deals for superb properties :) Being a woman I obviously love overspending.

As for the feedback – thanks guys and keep them coming. My husband and I were just arguing this morning about whether we should just hail a cab when we get there because its a tonne cheaper so we might do that and ask the hotel to organise transfers to Hua Hin and then back to the Hotel.

Am guessing that the best way to get around when I’m there is via the skyrail in BKK?

One thing at a time. Getting from the airport to your hotel in Bangkok is pretty easy. Go to the first floor (bottom floor) at the airport and get a meter taxi. Meter taxi desks are outside at the curb area. Look for a blue podium/desk with a picture of a taxi on it, also says “Public Taxi”

Clerks at that desk will ask you where you are going, write it down, tell the driver where to go and check to see if the meter starts at 35 baht. You pay the meter fare, 50 baht surcharge plus any tolls – the total to most places in Bangkok will come to around 350 baht. Ignore the touts in the arrivals hall unless you want to pay more for a ride into the city. Not interested in the cheapest taxi then have the hotel pick you up or sign up for a limo. There is no shortage of rides from the airport to Bangkok!

Your hotel can make arrangements for your ride to Hua Hin or you can visit a nearby travel agency and they will set you up with a ride. There is a train that goes through that area too. There are buses that go there also.

Your hotel in Hua Hin or a local travel agency can set you up with a ride back to Bangkok or take the train or a bus.

Since your staying at the Lebua I know for sure you’re not in the same income bracket as me. So you can afford to arrange for your hotel to pick you up or you can do what I do and walk outside the terminal and catch a taxi. I am sure your taxi driver will know the Lebua, so no problem, it will cost you about 250 baht, plus tolls and airport fee of 50 baht, so about 375 baht all together.

As for getting to Hua Hin, I doubt you want to sit next to me on the bus or train, so just inform your hotel to pick you up or have the Lebua travel agent arrange for transportation. Same way getting back to Bangkok.

Transportation is very easy here in Thailand and cheap compare to Australia
