Google has unveiled ‘Google Cube’—a 3D WebGL labyrinth game on Chrome Experiments based on the Google Maps function, and inspired by the promotional video by Venables Bell & Partners (VB&P) of a giant labyrinth cube structure.
In the game of eight levels, you have to guide the ‘blue marble’ through various cities of Paris, London, Tokyo, Las Vegas and the Mall of America to get to predetermined locations.
Like labyrinth, users guide the little ball through the map by dragging their cursor along the streets—while making use special Google Maps features, such as traffic advisories and bike paths.
The rather addictive game gets progressively more difficult as you advance. After completing a level, you’d be rewarded with a fun fact about Google Maps.
To try out the game, users can go to playmapscube.com.
