We want to do Yoga for the month of August, 2012 and are looking for a quiet, peaceful guesthouse preferably in the old city. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks so much.

There are just soooooo many – and in August it is off season so there will be 2x that amount.
You do not mention price range but I would guess that in August, you could start at abt 4000 baht and up from there for a clean but basic place. I know of a pretty ince place that was 8000 baht a month, a few steps above backpacker.
You also might ask the person that you are taking yoga with as they should be familiar with the area of the school – or google guesthouse CM – have fun.
